Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto 6 have officially started, revealing the game's price as well as various new details about Rockstar Games’ upcoming project.
The release of GTA 6 is scheduled for November 19, 2026. The game will be available immediately on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, while pre-loading will become available on November 12.
We have gathered all the new information about the game so that you do not miss anything important.
Let's start with the most important and one of the most discussed questions surrounding GTA 6 — how much the game will cost. It has been revealed that the Standard Edition will cost $80, while the Ultimate Edition will be priced at $100. Previously, there were concerns that the base edition of the game would cost $100.
If you pre-order the game, you will receive the Vintage Vice City Pack as a bonus, which includes:

The contents of the Ultimate Edition have also been revealed. It will grant access to two exclusive side missions, as well as a range of cosmetic content.
Here is the full list of content included in the Ultimate Edition:
It is also known that players will later be able to upgrade the Standard Edition to the Ultimate Edition for an additional fee.

It has become common practice for owners of Ultimate Editions to receive early access, allowing them to play a game several days before its global launch.
However, Rockstar prefers that all players gain access to the game on the same day. Therefore, owners of both the Standard Edition and the Ultimate Edition will receive access simultaneously.
On November 19, GTA 6 will launch only on current-generation consoles — PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, which is standard practice for Rockstar games. The PC version of the game is expected to be released later.
GTA 5 launched on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles in September 2013. In November 2014, the game arrived on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The PC release did not take place until April 2015.
Therefore, GTA 6 on PC should not be expected before 2028. Of course, Rockstar may reconsider its policy and release the game on PC sometime during 2027.

Rockstar has confirmed that the physical edition of GTA 6 will not include a game disc. Players will receive only a download code. This practice is becoming increasingly popular across the video game industry.
Some players speculate that the company decided against including a physical disc in order to prevent early leaks of the game and unauthorized access before launch. This is because physical copies typically arrive in stores ahead of release, allowing some players to gain access before the official launch date. Rockstar therefore aims to maintain control over the release and prevent leaks from physical media.
It is quite possible that Rockstar will later release a version of GTA 6 with a disc as part of a collector’s edition. This may happen ahead of the game's PC release.
Thanks to GTA Online in the fifth installment of the series, the developers are still earning millions of dollars from a game that originally launched back in 2013. However, there is currently no confirmation of an online mode for GTA 6.
If you look at the PlayStation website, there is an interesting entry in the FAQ section. One of the questions asks: “Does Grand Theft Auto VI feature multiplayer modes or functionality?” Sony answered this question with a single sentence: “Grand Theft Auto VI is a single-player game.”
Of course, this does not necessarily mean that the game will not have an online mode. It is likely that the developers plan to separate it entirely from GTA 6, and more information should be expected closer to release. Another possibility is that the online mode will be added some time after launch.
Following the launch of GTA 6 pre-orders, Sony began an active marketing campaign on its platform. The company is using the slogan: “Best on PS5.” Sony highlights the DualSense controller and 3D AudioTech as features that will provide an enhanced experience. It is also stated that loading screens are almost nonexistent on their console.
The game's PlayStation Store page also carries the “PS5 Pro Enhanced” label. Exactly what improvements have been made for the PS5 Pro version remains unknown. It is expected that this refers to image quality and performance improvements thanks to PSSR technology. Fans are also hoping that this will allow the game to run at a stable 60 frames per second while maintaining visual fidelity close to 4K.
Of course, this does not mean that GTA 6 will perform worse on Xbox consoles. It is quite likely that the Xbox Series versions will be in excellent technical condition and feature their own advantages. Xbox may soon launch its own marketing campaign and reveal specific benefits available on its consoles.
The sixth installment of GTA returns players to Vice City, which is based on Miami. The city is located in the fictional state of Leonida, inspired by Florida.

The story is inspired by the infamous criminal duo Bonnie and Clyde. The game's protagonists, Lucia and Jason, are struggling financially, which pushes them into a life of crime. They quickly become drawn deeper into it by the lure of big money. After a failed bank robbery attempt, the pair find themselves at the center of a massive conspiracy and must find a way to escape it.
