Former Head of Film and TV at Xbox Kiki Wolfkill is leaving Microsoft after 28 years to pursue new opportunities. She has been part of Xbox’s evolution from its early console era to today’s cross-platform strategy.
Wolfkill is known for her work on major franchises such as Fable, Mass Effect, and Project Gotham Racing, as well as early projects like Monster Truck Madness 2 and Forza Motorsport. She later helped expand Xbox IP into film and TV.
She announced her departure on April 17 via LinkedIn, calling it a “difficult but exhilarating” decision. Her most recent role was leading Xbox’s film and television division, focusing heavily on the Halo universe.
She is closely associated with Halo, having joined 343 Industries in 2008 after Bungie. She worked on Halo 4 and transmedia projects like Halo: Forward Unto Dawn and Halo: Nightfall, plus the Paramount series.
Her exit comes amid broader changes across Xbox leadership, including shifts involving Phil Spencer. Wolfkill has not yet announced her next move but teased that more details are coming soon.
