A young man accidentally deleted his fiancée’s save file in Red Dead Redemption 2. However, the way he chose to apologize quickly became an internet hit. To make amends, he reached out to Roger Clark, the actor who portrayed Arthur Morgan.
In his request, the man asked the actor to share a few words of encouragement for his girlfriend, who had suffered what he described as a “devastating loss,” and to formally apologize on his behalf. Clark agreed to help and was so touched by the story that he shared it on his social media. Roger Clark noted that among the thousands of video greetings he records, sincere and humorous cases like this are the most meaningful to him.
The girlfriend at the center of the story was about halfway through her journey in RDR2. She had completed roughly two-thirds of the main storyline, paying close attention to moral choices. Her Arthur Morgan was a true example of a “high honor” playthrough.
