Apple concluded its presentation, where it unveiled several new devices and updates to its ecosystem. The main announcements included the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max, AirPods 5, Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4, as well as the company’s first foldable smartphone — the iPhone Duo.
Apple introduced its new flagship smartphones, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. The devices will be available in four colors — burgundy, gray, black, and blue.
One of the main new features is Siri AI, which can now interact with more than 250 apps. Users only need to give a voice command for the assistant to, for example, send a message to a specific contact in a messenger or play music on Deezer.
In addition, Siri AI allows users to customize its voice, intonation, and speaking speed. However, these settings are currently available only in English.
The new iPhones feature the A20 Pro processor — a 2nm chip with a 10-core CPU, which Apple calls the fastest processor in the world.
The camera has also received significant changes. For the first time in an iPhone, Apple has introduced a mechanical aperture, giving users more control over the photography process. This mechanism allows users to manually adjust the amount of light reaching the sensor and achieve deep, natural bokeh instead of artificial software-based background blur.
Apple has also added new Photographic Styles for portraits. They allow users to fine-tune contrast, skin texture, and image depth in greater detail.
At the same time, the price of the new smartphones has increased by only $100, despite the significant global memory shortage.
Alongside the new iPhones, the company unveiled the AirPods 5.
The main upgrade is active noise cancellation, which is now 50% more effective compared with the previous generation.
Another new feature is real-time text translation. Thanks to this feature, the earbuds can be used to communicate with people who speak other languages. Prices start at $129.
Apple also introduced the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4.
The new watches will perform a check-up every five minutes and feature an improved heart-rate monitor. In addition, the devices will be able to display the user’s biological age and remind them when it is time to rest.
Using AI, the Apple Watch will also provide personalized health recommendations.
The company has separately added a personal trainer feature to the iPhone. It can monitor exercises in front of the camera and evaluate the quality of a warm-up.
