ARC Raiders: How to Fix the Oil Leak in the Battening Down Quest

The “Fix the leaking oil pipe” objective is part of the Battening Down quest. The main challenge is that the game provides very little guidance about the object’s exact location, while the area itself leaves players highly exposed to enemy attacks.

Where to Find the Oil Leak

To locate the correct pipe, head to the Riven Tides map:

• Travel to the northern part of the map, near the beach area.
• Your route should pass through the Stacking Yard location.
• Once you reach the seawall, climb over it onto the sandy shore.
• On the beach, you will see two large pipes leading north.
• The objective is the pipe on the left, with a puddle of leaking oil underneath it.

How to Complete the Objective

When you find the pipe with the oil puddle beneath it, move close enough for the interaction prompt to appear. After activating it, your character will begin repairing the leak. Once the process is complete, the objective will be marked as finished.

Your quest progress is saved even if you decide to evacuate or get eliminated by enemies afterward.

Tips for Completing the Quest Safely

This area is very open, making you an easy target for other raiders. To improve your chances of success, follow these recommendations:

• Before approaching the pipes, scout the area for hostile players. The difficulty of the encounter largely depends on whether you end up in a friendly or PvP-heavy lobby.
• If you frequently run into enemy players at this spot, consider using a Barricade Kit. It can provide temporary cover while interacting with the pipe.
• Start the repair only after confirming the area is clear or all nearby threats have been eliminated.
