The upcoming remake Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will focus on a single player experience and will not include multiplayer or DLC.
The official reveal by Ubisoft is set for April 23 during a dedicated showcase, where the game will be presented for the first time. It is expected to be described as a “pure story driven adventure” centered on Edward’s journey.

As part of this direction, the developers decided to remove the original multiplayer and DLC. Instead, the remake will feature new story elements, content, and gameplay systems. The original version of the game along with its DLC will remain available.
Sources say the company does not plan to release any of the original DLC even if the project becomes a major success. At least one more remake within the Assassin’s Creed series is reportedly in development, and future remakes will depend on the performance of Black Flag Resynced.
A first gameplay snippet from the reveal trailer has already leaked online, showing noticeable visual improvements over the original.
The game is scheduled to release on July 9, 2026.
