Capcom has unexpectedly released a demo for Resident Evil Requiem, even though the full game launched three months ago. Players on PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC can now try the survival horror title for free via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

The demo lets players experience part of the game’s early stages. It features FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft alongside legendary agent Leon S. Kennedy, with both characters’ storylines and gameplay styles intertwining in what Capcom describes as a heart-stopping and emotional experience.

Capcom also confirmed that save data from the demo cannot be transferred to the full version of the game.
