One of the most unusual shooters in recent years, Mouse P.I. For Hire, is set to launch on April 16. Developed by the Polish studio Fumi Games, the project blends the style of classic 1930s American animation in the spirit of Disney with a noir atmosphere and a touch of parody.
The developers also implemented a creative technical approach by combining 3D graphics with 2D sprites, resulting in a distinctive visual style without putting heavy strain on hardware.
Ahead of release, the team unveiled an атмосферic cinematic trailer. In it, the protagonist Jack Pepper, a private detective who takes on criminals and corrupt authorities in the city of Mouseburg, explains how he became involved in another dangerous case.
Critics have already had the chance to try the game and were generally pleased. They note that the shooter is not without flaws, as some elements clash with each other and the technical side raises certain concerns. However, overall it is an atmospheric, stylish, and unconventional experience that can deliver memorable moments and entertain players for several evenings. A full playthrough takes around 12 to 20 hours depending on playstyle.
The game currently holds a score of 82 on Metacritic and 83 with a 93 percent recommendation rate on OpenCritic.

Mouse P.I. For Hire will be available on PC as well as PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch consoles across both current generations.
