Sandfall Interactive has announced that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has surpassed 8 million copies sold. The milestone was revealed as part of the game’s first anniversary celebration.

The developers addressed players with a message:
"Expeditioners!! Today marks 1 year since we released Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. This past year has been an incredible journey and so we have a few things to share with you today."
To mark the occasion, the team also prepared a special piece of artwork and shared their excitement:
"We're so thrilled, and honestly still quite overwhelmed, to announce that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has officially reached 8 million copies sold!"

They also expressed gratitude to the community:
"Thank you so so much to every single person who has played, created art, shared, streamed, discussed, and supported this game!!"
Alongside the celebration, a small update has been released, adding new hairstyles to give players more customization options. Full details are available in the patch notes.

In addition, the developers highlighted the creativity of the community by commissioning official emotes. These were created by IrunoArt, comickergirl, and Bugyakis, and are available for free download.
