In its financial report for Q1 2026, Remedy revealed that total sales of Control have surpassed 6 million copies.
The company also reaffirmed that Control Resonant is still «on track» for a 2026 release.
In its business review covering January to March 2026, Remedy highlighted Control’s long-term performance, promised infrastructure support for the failed co-op shooter FBC Firebreak, and confirmed that Control Resonant remains on schedule.

While titles like Control and Alan Wake 2 are often associated with the studio, 2025 proved to be a difficult year following the failure of FBC Firebreak. Former CEO Tero Virtala stepped down, and development of the online FPS ended in March.
The Q1 2026 report makes it clear that Remedy is now focused on delivering a successful launch of Control Resonant and maintaining strong sales of its single-player catalog. New CEO Jean-Charles Gaudechon stated that «revenue from game sales and royalties increased» thanks to sales of Alan Wake 2, Control, and FBC Firebreak, which remains playable despite no new content updates.
At the same time, «revenue decreased by -1.9% to EUR 13.1 million», while «operating profit was EUR 1.0 million, and the operating profit margin was 7.8% of revenue».
As a Reminder, Resellers on eBay are making significant profits from reselling the Steam Controller.
