The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) has concluded its investigation into professional Dota 2 player Tommy Le, known as Taiga, and delivered a final ruling: a lifetime ban. The player declined to cooperate with the investigation.
The investigation found that Taiga committed multiple breaches of the ESIC Code of Conduct. According to the findings, he:
Based on this, ESIC determined that Taiga committed numerous violations of both its Anti-Corruption Code and Code of Conduct.
Given the severity of the offenses and his complete lack of cooperation, ESIC has imposed a lifetime ban. Taiga is now prohibited from participating in any tournaments organized by ESIC member entities, effective immediately.
The decision was issued in accordance with Article 4.6.7 of the Anti-Corruption Code, with ESIC stating that the available evidence was sufficient to establish the violations.
