Your team was eliminated quite early in the tournament. What were the plans for Team Liquid for IEM Dallas 2023?
We were expecting at least to get to the playoffs. We really didn’t get that far. We nearly didn’t talk about our plans for this tournament because a bunch of things were going on post major but we all were expecting at least to make the stage in front of the home audience. It’s definitely an upset as I wanted to play at least one arena match.
Today the final will be between ENCE and Mouz. Previously big teams were eliminated quite earlier. Do you agree that there’s not a big difference between Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams right now?
I think right now it’s more competitive. I’ve been saying this since I came back. Tier 2 teams on paper are getting closer and closer. At the major GamerLegion made the huge run.

Monte, yes. Part of the teams just appeared from nowhere and made really good runs at the tournament. I think the cap is closing amongst the teams and it makes the game a lot more fun to watch.
Your predictions for the final. Who will win today?
I think it’s ENCE is going to win. It’s the bo3, so they will win 2:1.
Why?
The way that they got here and the way they perform is unique. I have a feeling that they will win.
