Players correspondent Sofia Pikhalo took a short interview with Monte captain Viktor sdy Orudzhev. In the conversation, sdy shared his thoughts on the fight for fans with NAVI and told how he maintains his mental and physical fitness.
Now you and NAVI are two of the most popular Ukrainian CS:GO teams, do you feel the competition for fans?
Well, NAVI is an esports organisation of different calibre, Monte have just appeared and developing, it's just the beginning of the journey. NAVI is on a different level, so there is no competition, but we will do our best to develop Monte as best we can.
But both social media channels and videos are quite popular.
They are quite popular, and the videos can have a lot of views, but NAVI's fan base is still international, and there are a lot of fans from other countries as well.
Has your form changed since leaving NAVI, or have you stayed the same, but your surroundings have changed?
Has my form changed? Well, in a way, you always change when you move to a new team, because you take something from it and something remains from the old one. So, of course, I have changed. I think it's still for the better and I like the way things are going with the guys now.
How do you keep yourself mentally and physically fit, apart from playing?
I keep myself mentally fit by reading books, resting, and talking to my family. At the moment, it is harder to keep mentally fit, because we haven't been home for a long time and haven't seen our family, so… it's harder. As for physical fitness… lately I just try to eat healthy food and sometimes I go to the gym to run, something like that.
