International publication TIME has included Lee Faker Sang-hyeok, the professional League of Legends player, in its list of the 100 most influential people in sports. The South Korean mid laner was placed in the prestigious “Icons” category.
In the ranking, the star of T1 stands alongside some of the biggest names in global sports, including footballer Lionel Messi, basketball player LeBron James, and tennis star Carlos Alcaraz.
The magazine highlighted Faker’s unprecedented dominance in esports, where he is widely known as the “Unkillable Demon King.” He holds the all-time record with six World Championship titles in League of Legends with T1, including a historic streak of three consecutive Worlds victories. He also became the first-ever inductee into Riot Games’ Hall of Legends.
