In celebration of Fallout Day, Amazon’s entertainment division has revealed the premiere date and initial details for Fallout Shelter: The Experiment. The reality competition is inspired by the popular mobile game Fallout Shelter, which has since expanded to nearly every major platform.
The first season will feature ten episodes and premiere on January 13, 2027. Four episodes will be released on launch day, followed by three episodes on January 20 and the final three on January 27.

According to the organizers, contestants will be confined to a nuclear fallout shelter and challenged with a series of activities. Much like the characters in the game, they will face moral dilemmas and have to demonstrate their ability to work as a team.
The competition will test all seven S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attributes: strength, perception, endurance, charisma, intelligence, agility, and luck. The contestant who performs best throughout the challenges will take home the grand prize of $1 million.
The concept might seem unusual to people unfamiliar with the Fallout universe, but fans of the post-apocalyptic franchise may find the reality show's format appealing.
Fallout Shelter: The Experiment is being produced by Studio Lambert, the company behind the reality competition Squid Game: The Challenge.
