The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) has officially announced the launch of the FIA Esports Global Rally Tour, built on Assetto Corsa Rally. The initiative aims to attract a new audience and double global participation in motorsport.
The competition will begin with a global online qualification stage running from May 12 to May 25. Based on the results, 56 top drivers will be selected—8 representatives from each region: Europe, MENA, North America, South America, Asia-Pacific, and Africa.
This will be followed by regional knockout finals. From these stages, the 16 best drivers will advance to the World Final. Slots are распределені as follows: 2 drivers from each region, except Europe, which will receive 4 spots due to its larger number of FIA member clubs, plus 2 wildcard entries.
The final stage will take place in December during the prestigious FIA Awards Week in Shanghai.
