The Sonic the Hedgehog film series has successfully revived the popularity of Sega’s iconic gaming franchise. The fourth installment, titled “Sonic the Hedgehog 4,” is scheduled for release in 2027, and its filming process has now officially concluded.
Director Jeff Fowler announced the end of production on May 15 through his X account. The filmmaker also shared the first look at the legendary robotic counterpart, Metal Sonic, and teased fans by saying that this movie will become the best entry in the franchise so far.
According to the plot details revealed so far, Metal Sonic will serve as the main antagonist of the upcoming film. In addition, the appearance of another classic character, Amy Rose, has been officially confirmed. The beloved hedgehog heroine will be voiced by actress Kristen Bell.
Earlier, The Witcher 2 celebrated the 15th anniversary of its release.
