Ukraine’s national team in Rocket League finished second in their group at the FIFAe Nations League 2026: Europe Week 1, securing a spot in the playoffs.

Their opening match came against the reigning world champions. The two games played out very differently — the first was a one-sided loss, while in the second Ukraine had chances to compete but fell short due to a lack of mental resilience and experience.

Facing Luxembourg, the Ukrainian squad came in determined to apply pressure from the start — and it worked. However, lingering эмоції from the previous матч affected their performance, leading to a narrow loss in the first game. In the second game, the team found their rhythm and secured a win, resulting in an overall draw against Luxembourg.

In the final matchup against Greece, Ukraine looked dominant and confidently claimed victory. Thanks to their overall win-loss record, they finished second in the group and advanced to the playoffs, where they will face Turkey.

As a reminder, HLTV recently published an investigation into internal issues within GamerLegion.
