Forza Horizon 6 launches May 19 and refreshes the open world formula

The open world genre is set for a boost on May 19 with the release of Forza Horizon 6. Players will head to Japan to experience racing freedom enhanced by new technologies and systems.

The game continues the series focus on living worlds, adding deeper customization, improved progression, and stronger realism. Progression is tied to exploration, leading to the endgame location Legend Island with unique events and the longest race in the series, Goliath.

Social features now exist directly in the world. Car Meets let players gather and compete seamlessly, while CoLab enables custom events with friends.

Customization plays a key role, allowing players to personalize cars, garages, and even purchase homes.

Developers have also improved traffic density and AI to make roads feel more alive. Combined with detailed environments, upgraded audio, and refined handling, the game aims to deliver a more immersive racing experience.
