The Esports World Cup Foundation and the French Ministry of Sports, Youth and Community Life have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at supporting the Esports World Cup 2026 in Paris while strengthening the country's esports ecosystem over the long term.

The partners intend to use the global event as a platform to generate lasting social and economic benefits that extend beyond competitive gaming.

As part of the agreement, both parties will collaborate on initiatives designed to help young people develop valuable skills through video games. These include introducing gaming workshops in schools, where students will learn digital literacy, online safety, teamwork, and the principles of fair play.

Reminder: Xbox players have found a way to get GTA VI for free using Microsoft Rewards.
