The team FUT Esports, featuring two Ukrainian players, started the third stage of IEM Cologne Major 2026 in CS2 with a loss against Team Vitality.
The match began with a confident win for FUT on Anubis (13:5). On Overpass, Vitality responded with a dominant 13:2 victory.
The decider was played on Nuke, where both teams showed strong defensive performances. Vitality started on the CT side and secured it 10:2. After the side switch, they won the pistol round, while FUT mounted a comeback attempt, closing the gap to 7:11. However, a series of traded rounds followed, and Vitality ultimately closed the map 13:8 to secure the series win.
With this victory, Vitality move into the 1–0 bracket, while FUT will continue the tournament in the 0–1 bracket.
The MVP of the match was Mathieu 'ZywOo' Herbaut, who finished with a 1.66 rating and 101.1 ADR.
IEM Cologne Major 2026 is taking place from June 2 to June 21 in Cologne, Germany, with a total prize pool of $1.25 million.
