Gentle Mates GC and Shopify Rebellion Gold secured confident 2-0 victories over MIBR GC and KRÜ Blaze, respectively. This triumph guaranteed them a spot in the upper bracket final of the VALORANT Game Changers Championship (GCC) 2026, where they will face each other for a ticket to the grand final. For Shopify Rebellion Gold, this marks their fifth consecutive upper final appearance in GCC history.
The matchup between Gentle Mates GC and MIBR GC was marked by the Brazilian squad's first defeat of the season on their strongest map, Ascent. Prior to this match, MIBR had not lost a single time on it throughout 2026, but the European team unexpectedly crushed them with a score of 13-4. The second map, Haven, proved to be much more tense and ended 13-11 in favor of M8GC. Martyna "Marti" Pabian claimed the series MVP title with a 318 ACS and an impressive 43/27/24 stat line. In a post-match comment, M8GC player Gülce "wens" Sürmeli emphasized that the team had proven its true strength and no longer considers itself a tournament underdog. It is worth noting that M8GC remains the only EMEA team yet to lose to a Brazilian organization at this year's championship.
Two-time world champions Shopify Rebellion Gold also confidently dismantled their opponents from KRÜ Blaze. Despite losing the opening rounds on the first map, the North American squad quickly seized the initiative and claimed a 13-7 victory. On the second map, Sunset, SRG started with total domination at 8-1 and eventually closed out the series with a 13-6 score. Karnthida "dodonut" Chaisrakeo was named the best player of the match (38/25/17 and 290 ACS). In her post-match interview, she noted the high level of play from their upcoming opponents, Gentle Mates, and expressed her excitement for the upcoming head-to-head clash.
The defeated teams will continue their fight for survival in the tournament's lower bracket. On October 28, MIBR GC will face the SK Nebula roster in an elimination match, while KRÜ Blaze is set to clash with Team Liquid Brazil. All matches will be streamed live on the official VALORANT Champions Tour Twitch and YouTube channels.
