THQ Nordic has marked the 20th anniversary of Gothic 3 by reminding fans that Gothic 3 Classic is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on November 24. The publisher has also shared several screenshots showcasing the updated version.
As with the previous releases in the franchise, this is not a full remaster. Instead, the console edition is a port featuring technical improvements, controls adapted for consoles, and all the original content. The publisher has also shared several screenshots of the updated version.

THQ Nordic has been making the Gothic franchise available on modern platforms in recent months. The first two games have received new releases, while the original Gothic, released in 2001, arrived on iOS in early October.
As an additional bonus, the publisher has released an upgraded version of the documentary about the making of Gothic 3. Originally filmed by the developers at Piranha Bytes, the now-defunct studio behind the franchise, the documentary was previously distributed exclusively on DVD. It is now available to watch on YouTube in high resolution.
