GSC Game World has announced a new wave of applications for the Zone Kit Closed Beta, giving modders early access to the official S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl modding toolkit. This testing phase focuses on narrative creation, introducing new tools for quest scripting, audio, and localization that can be used together to build complete story driven mods.

GSC Game World is inviting both solo creators and modding teams with released projects or promising works in progress. Participants accepted into the Closed Beta will receive early access to the new tools, a dedicated chat with the Zone Kit development team, regular technical Q&A sessions, support for preparing mods for Xbox, a shared space to collaborate with other creators, access to the content creators' community for promotion and collaboration, and early access to upcoming game updates.
Applications are now open, and selected participants will be contacted through Discord or email by July 28, 2026. Everyone accepted into the program will be required to sign a non disclosure agreement (NDA) before joining the Closed Beta.
