Take-Two Interactive has revealed updated sales figures for Grand Theft Auto V in its latest quarterly financial report. The game has now nearly reached 230 million copies sold worldwide, highlighting its continued popularity more than a decade after release.
Compared to the company’s previous report, which listed 225 million copies sold, the title added another 5 million units over the last quarter. This means the game continues to sell at a pace of around 5 million copies every three months — an impressive achievement for a game originally launched in 2013.
Amid the ongoing success of GTA V, the company is also actively preparing for the release of Grand Theft Auto VI. Take-Two expects the launch of GTA VI to generate around $8 billion in revenue during the next fiscal year.
Earlier, Bungie was reported to be preparing major layoffs following the end of support for Destiny 2.
