Game designer Hideo Kojima shared new details about his upcoming spy action title Physint during a recent episode of his radio show, KOJI10. The developer confirmed that the game's plot is fully ready, 3D scanning of the actors is complete, and full filming will start next year. For Kojima, this project holds special significance, as it marks the 40th anniversary of his career in the video game industry.

Despite the obvious legacy of Metal Gear, the creator emphasized his desire to deliver a "different kind of spy action" packed with fresh ideas. This marks Kojima's first dedicated action-espionage project since the release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Xbox is currently attached as the publisher, having picked up the title after PlayStation backed out over various concerns. According to Xbox CEO Asha Sharma, the deal provides funding that is "substantially below" the standard budget for a premium title.

The lead role in the game is played by Bill Skarsgård, a longtime fan of the Metal Gear franchise. Kojima noted that Skarsgård, as a method actor, is eager to immerse himself in the role and is already asking for script lines ahead of filming. Joining him in the cast are Charlee Fraser, Ma Dong-seok, and Minami Hamabe.

Kojima specifically highlighted that the on-screen chemistry between Skarsgård's and Fraser's characters is "very important." The team has already conducted camera tests and scanned the actors in full gear. However, the game designer clarified that the released promotional materials served strictly as references for lighting and fabric wrinkles, meaning the final character costumes will look different.
