How to Get Jimothy for Free in Fortnite

Fortnitemares 2026 has kicked off in Fortnite, bringing Halloween themed content to the island, including new locations and bosses inspired by popular franchises, as well as spooky items such as the Witch Broom. Among the event rewards, players can also unlock a free Sidekick named Jimothy.

How to get Jimothy

To unlock Jimothy, players need to complete the secret “Extract a Silly Little Guy” quest by finding and extracting a Dumpster Dive Sprite. Any variant of the Sprite will work, so there is no need to specifically search for the base version.

There are several ways to find a Dumpster Dive Sprite:

• Chests and Cheat Codes: Since the Sprite is Epic rarity, Rare and Epic Cheat Codes provide the best chances of finding one. Legendary Cheat Codes can be used when looking for special variants.
• Pumpkin Chests: These chests can be found across the island throughout the season. Destroying one guarantees a Sprite.
• Eliminating players: Equipping a Bounty Hunter Sprite can allow you to obtain a Bounty Hunter Dumpster Dive Sprite by eliminating another player.

For squad players, the easiest option is to trade the item with a teammate. Another player can simply drop a Dumpster Dive Sprite for you, allowing you to use it to unlock Jimothy.

Jimothy does not have any color customization or additional style options. However, players can earn several free rewards by playing with him equipped and collecting Sidekick Points.
