KRAFTON has revealed details for the upcoming PUBG Global Championship 2026. The tournament will take place in Istanbul from December 1 to 13.
The championship’s base prize pool will be $1.5 million, which will traditionally be expanded through community crowdfunding. However, organizers introduced an important change this year: only teams that finish in the top 8 of the Grand Final will receive crowdfunding revenue shares. From the main prize pool, $1,310,000 will be distributed as guaranteed placements payouts, while an additional $190,000 will be awarded as special prizes for standout in-game moments.
This year, KRAFTON has also significantly revamped the qualification system. Team performances throughout the season will now directly determine the stage from which they begin at PGC, increasing the importance of regional competitions.
A total of 32 championship slots will be allocated as follows:
Depending on the number of points earned during the season, teams will start from different stages of the tournament. The top eight teams will receive direct invitations to the Grand Final. Another eight teams will begin from Day 1 of the Survival Stage, while the remaining 16 squads must battle through the qualification phase.

On the opening day, 16 teams will compete for advancement. The top eight squads will move on to the first day of the Survival Stage, while the bottom eight teams will be placed into the second day of Survival Stage competition.
Daily matches will be played between 16 teams. During the first four days, each day’s winner will automatically secure a Grand Final spot. On the fifth and final day, the remaining participants will compete for the last four available Grand Final places.
The climax of the championship will feature the world’s 16 strongest teams competing in 15 decisive matches. The winner of this final series will become the champion of the PUBG Global Championship 2026.
