KRAFTON and the Korea e-Sports Association have signed a three-year agreement aimed at promoting esports in schools and strengthening its role within South Korea’s official sports system.
The main goal of the partnership is to help students engage in esports in a healthy and structured way. The initiative focuses on teaching teamwork and sportsmanship, while also providing a clear pathway for young players to pursue professional careers in the future.
Another key objective is to increase recognition of Korean-developed games such as PUBG: Battlegrounds. The plan includes integrating such titles into official competitions, including national sporting events, helping esports gain recognition comparable to traditional sports.
KRAFTON and KeSPA also intend to build a comprehensive system that connects school-level players with professional teams and even the national squad. To support this, a joint committee will be established to oversee and improve school esports programs.
As a reminder, Modern Warfare 4 may be released in fall 2026.
