The developers of Lords of the Fallen have announced that the game has surpassed 8 million players worldwide. The milestone was revealed through the game’s official X account.
«To our 8 million Lampbearers – thank you. Together, we shall conquer the darkness», — the developers stated.
The number represents total players rather than copies sold. The achievement was boosted not only by retail sales across PC and consoles, but also by the game’s availability through subscription services such as PlayStation Plus.
The game was developed by Hexworks and published by CI Games. It launched on October 13, 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The title serves as a successor to the 2014 Lords of the Fallen and is set in a dark fantasy world divided into two interconnected realms.
Players take on the role of a Dark Crusader tasked with stopping the demon god Adyr while traveling between Axiom, the realm of the living, and Umbral, the realm of the dead. One of the game’s core mechanics allows players to switch between dimensions using a magical lantern to uncover secrets, solve puzzles, and discover hidden paths.
Lords of the Fallen expands on the soulslike formula with challenging combat, large interconnected environments, and cooperative multiplayer features. Since release, the developers have continued supporting the game with updates, gameplay improvements, and additional content patches.

As a Reminder, More Than 5 Million Players Are Waiting for Subnautica 2.
