Japanese police have arrested a 27-year-old unemployed man from the city of Hekinan on suspicion of sending multiple bomb threats targeting the headquarters of Nintendo in Kyoto.
According to official reports, the suspect mailed documents claiming he intended to blow up the gaming giant’s headquarters. The letters reportedly stated that the attack plan was already in motion and “could not be stopped.”
This is far from the first time Nintendo has become the target of threats. Throughout 2023 and 2024, the company was forced to cancel several large-scale events because of similar threats directed at employees.
As a reminder, FUT Esports recently announced an emergency roster change ahead of the Brawl Cup in Berlin.
