According to Alinea Analytics, Marvel's Wolverine sold more than 1.9 million copies on PlayStation 5 within its first three days. Around 1 million of those sales came from digital pre-orders made before launch.
The game generated approximately $130 million in revenue during that period, with physical copies accounting for 22.9% of sales. This means Wolverine has already surpassed Death Stranding 2's lifetime PS5 performance, with the latter selling around 1.8 million copies and generating $129 million in revenue.

Wolverine's development budget is estimated at roughly $305 million. The United States is by far the game's largest market, accounting for 53% of its audience, followed by the UK at 7%, France at 5%, and Canada at 4%.
The game's launch sales are also ahead of several other major PlayStation releases, including Resident Evil Requiem, 007 First Light, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, and Crimson Desert.
Despite mixed reviews and significant criticism on social media, analysts note that a large portion of Wolverine's buyers are not participating in online discussions. The game's audience is primarily made up of superhero game fans, alongside mainstream players who have recently played titles such as Fortnite, GTA 5, Roblox, NBA 2K, and FC.
