4A Games has officially confirmed that METRO 2039 will be featured at Gamescom 2026. The game is set to appear during Opening Night Live on August 20, while attendees will have the chance to play the FPS demo at the studio's booth from August 26 through August 30.
The developer shared the following message with fans:
«We are excited to announce that #METRO2039 is coming to Gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany this August. We can't wait to see some of you there»
The event will mark the first time the post apocalyptic shooter is playable by the public ahead of its currently scheduled launch in February 2027.
