Monte Eliminated from IEM Cologne Major 2026 After Loss to The MongolZ

Monte have been eliminated from IEM Cologne Major 2026. The team finished its run in Stage 3 of the tournament with a 1–3 record.

In their elimination match, the Ukrainian organization faced The MongolZ. Monte started the series with a victory on Nuke, winning 13:9. However, the Mongolian squad responded by taking Inferno 13:7.

The deciding map was Dust2, where both teams delivered a highly competitive performance. Despite the close contest, The MongolZ stepped up in the final rounds and secured a 13:11 victory to win the series.

Monte began the tournament in Stage 2, which they successfully navigated with a 3–2 record. However, in Stage 3, the team managed to earn only one victory, defeating PV.

With this win, The MongolZ improved their record to 2–2 and will now compete for a place in the playoffs.

IEM Cologne Major 2026 is taking place from June 2 to June 21 in Cologne, Germany. The tournament features a prize pool of $1.25 million.
