Monte suffered a defeat in their opening match of the third stage of the IEM Cologne Major 2026 in CS2. The team was beaten by Aurora with a 0:2 scoreline (10:13 on Nuke and 7:13 on Anubis).
As a result, the Ukrainian organization now sits in the 0–1 bracket and will play their next match against another team with the same record. Aurora, meanwhile, advances to the 1–0 pool.
The IEM Cologne Major 2026 is taking place from June 2 to June 21 in Cologne, Germany. The tournament features a prize pool of $1.25 million.
It is worth noting that the Ukrainian team B8 also lost to FURIA in their opening match at IEM Cologne Major 2026 Stage 3.
