MOONTON Games has approved a mandatory regulatory framework for licensing third-party competitions in the mobile game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. From now on, any independent tournament organizer seeking official approval must integrate core components of the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) Integrity Program into its operational structure.
The new rules establish a unified standard for amateur and independent competitions worldwide. To obtain a license, prospective organizers are required to implement ESIC provisions and model clauses into their key documents, including tournament regulations, participation agreements, and general rulebooks.
In addition, independent operators must recognize and enforce all official sanctions and disqualifications imposed by the commission.
MOONTON Games’ Head of Esports Ecosystem Ray Ng emphasized that independent tournaments play an important role in creating opportunities for players and expanding the competitive landscape. According to him, aligning their operations with internationally recognized standards is a crucial step toward building a professional and transparent environment.
The tightening of licensing requirements is driven by the global expansion of MLBB beyond its core Southeast Asian regions — particularly into the Americas and Europe, where the publisher relies on external partners to scale audience engagement.
