Play by Play Studios has announced the development of a full single-player campaign mode for NBA The Run. The decision comes after community criticism over the game’s heavy focus on online multiplayer matches.
At this stage, the new mode is still in the conceptual development phase, meaning details about its story or gameplay mechanics have not yet been revealed. The developers emphasized that they aim to create a high-quality experience that fully meets fan expectations. Due to the extensive technical work required, the single-player campaign is scheduled for release in spring 2027.
Until the major campaign arrives, the game will continue receiving active content updates. The largest update since launch is planned for August this year, coinciding with the start of Season 1.
