Insider Alir, who previously broke news about a new Metro entry, has shared fresh details about Uncharted 5. According to him, the game has been in development for over three years, with a possible release window set for 2029. The story is said to feature Nathan Drake and his daughter Cassie as dual playable protagonists. It is also claimed that development is led by Shaun Escayg, known for his work on Uncharted The Lost Legacy.

At the same time, rumors continue to circulate about upcoming projects from Naughty Dog. Despite a relatively quiet console generation, the studio is actively working on new titles. The next major release is expected to be Intergalactic The Heretic Prophet, the studio’s first new IP since 2013. Reports suggest it has been in development since 2020 and could launch around 2027.

There is also ongoing speculation about a return to The Last of Us. Studio head Neil Druckmann has hinted at ideas for a third installment but has also urged caution, saying there are no guarantees and that many factors need to align for it to happen.
Meanwhile, multiple sources suggest the studio may be working on several single-player projects simultaneously, leaving room for both a new Uncharted and a potential The Last of Us Part III. Nothing has been officially confirmed yet, but insiders believe a return to these iconic franchises is only a matter of time.
