Yesterday saw the release of Highguard, a team based raid shooter from Wildlight Entertainment, a studio made up of former Respawn Entertainment developers.

Shortly after launch, the game received a «mostly negative» rating on Steam. Players are actively criticizing performance issues, server instability, and problems related to Secure Boot.
Opinions on the gameplay are clearly divided. Some players enjoy the game’s blend of mechanics, while others feel the experience falls short of expectations.
At launch, Highguard reached a peak of nearly 100,000 concurrent players. At the moment, the active player count sits at around 11,000.

As a reminder, A small update has been released in CS2 that changes the mechanics of Molotov and incendiary grenades.
