Warhorse Studios has officially confirmed that a new entry in the Kingdom Come: Deliverance franchise is currently in development and could launch during fiscal year 2027, placing the potential release window between April 2027 and March 2028.
Following the studio’s recent livestream, fans began speculating about the future of the series, and the developers have now clarified their plans. Communications Director Tobias Stolz-Zwilling and Community Manager Tom Grey confirmed that the next title will be another open-world RPG.
The project is still being kept under wraps, but the studio revealed that Prokop Jirsa, previously the lead designer, is now serving as the game’s creative director. Meanwhile, Viktor Bocan has moved on to lead The Lord of the Rings RPG development within the studio.
Warhorse Studios reassured fans that the Kingdom Come franchise remains one of the company’s top priorities despite now working with the Lord of the Rings IP.
Tobias Stolz-Zwilling stated: “We still continue expanding the universe of Kingdom Come... Do not forget that Kingdom Come: Deliverance always was and still is and always will be an absolute passion project here in the studio.”
Alongside the announcement of a third game, the studio also confirmed that a Kingdom Come: Deliverance movie adaptation is currently in development. Former director Daniel Vávra has reportedly stepped away from game development entirely to focus on the film project.
