The esports organization Ninjas in Pyjamas has announced that Ukrainian player Artem Mushynskyi has been moved to the bench. He joined the team in January 2026.
According to Mushynskyi, the decision was driven by differences in vision regarding the team's gameplay. In a statement posted on X, the player explained that their fundamental approaches to the game differed and that, at this stage, the team required a player with a different set of qualities. He added that he fully respects the management's decision.
During his time with NIP, cairne posted an average rating of 1.03. While representing the Swedish organization, the Ukrainian won two LAN titles in the Roman Imperium Cup series and also claimed the championship at Stake Ranked Episode 2.
Despite those local successes, Ninjas in Pyjamas failed to qualify for the upcoming IEM Cologne Major 2026 due to a lack of significant results on the tier-one scene. The team's disappointing performances had already led to roster changes earlier this year. In April, Artem Moroz was replaced by Martin Lund.
German media outlets report that NIP are targeting Karim Moussa from BIG as a replacement for the Ukrainian player.
