ESIC has announced a lifetime ban for German player Maurizio Weber following an incident at the CAGGTUS LEIPZIG Event.

The reason was physical violence against another participant during the event, which was captured on video and quickly spread online. ESIC emphasized that such behavior is one of the most serious violations of its code, as it threatens player safety and undermines the reputation of esports competitions.

According to the commission’s decision, Weber is now prohibited from participating in any events associated with ESIC members, regardless of role — whether as a player, coach, or any other representative of the industry.
