Tournament organizer PGL has announced a new CS2 event that will take place in China in April 2027. The announcement was made through the company's social media channels.

The tournament is scheduled to run from April 14 to April 26, 2027, and will feature a $1 million prize pool.

A total of 16 teams will compete at the event. Fourteen teams will receive direct invitations based on the Global VRS rankings, while the remaining two spots will be awarded through regional qualifiers—one slot for Europe and one for Asia.

European Qualifier

  • Open Qualifier: January 27–30, 2027
  • Closed Qualifier: February 1–4, 2027

The closed qualifier will feature eight teams. Six teams will receive invitations based on the European VRS rankings, while two teams will advance from the open qualifier.

Asian Qualifier

  • Open Qualifier: January 27–30, 2027
  • Closed Qualifier: February 1–4, 2027

The Asian closed qualifier will be divided into three sub-regions. The winners of each sub-regional qualifier will then compete for the tournament slot.

As a reminder, Microsoft is reportedly dissatisfied with Xbox's profitability and is preparing a number of changes to the platform.
