On January 23–24, 2027, the inaugural Pokémon Team Masters tournament will take place in Halls 1 and 2 at the KINTEX Exhibition Center in Seoul. This marks the first large-scale official 3v3 team format tournament in Pokémon Trading Card Game history. The top four teams will earn direct invitations to the Pokémon World Championships 2027.
The event is capped at 2,000 players (approximately 670 three-player teams). Registration is free and open to players from any region without restrictions on team composition.
Organizers have set strict regulations for team play:
On Day 1, all 670 teams will compete in up to seven Swiss-system qualifying rounds. Teams securing 5 or more wins advance to Day 2 to continue in the Swiss bracket. Following this, the top 16 teams will advance to a single-elimination bracket to determine the champion.
In addition to World Championship invitations and commemorative Victory Symbol promo card plaques for the top 4 teams, top performers will receive exclusive branded accessories:
Registration opened on September 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. and will remain open until 12:00 p.m. on October 23 on the official Pokémon Team Masters web portal. If demand exceeds the 2,000-player cap, organizers will conduct a lottery, with results announced on November 13 at 2:00 p.m. Participants will also have the option to purchase a special Player Kit.
