Esports organization G2 Esports has entered into a partnership with PUBG Mobile Esports. The goal of the collaboration is to create a complete pathway that helps players progress from the amateur level to professional competition.

The partnership will begin with the 2026 PUBG Mobile Club Open Western Europe Wildcard, for which registration is already open. The tournament is specifically designed for amateur teams, providing them with a direct route to the professional scene. Tournament operations and community activations will be managed by G2’s production division, 62.

The flagship event of the new initiative will be the PUBG Mobile Global Open Western Europe Finals, scheduled to take place from September 11–13. Organizers hope that this first major joint tournament will establish the project as a significant presence within the European PUBG Mobile ecosystem.

The partnership’s ambassador and public face in Western Europe will be German streamer JanickaGaming. She will host weekly PUBG Mobile broadcasts and provide coverage of tournaments and esports news, helping to support and promote new players entering the competitive scene.

As previously reported, the studios Double Fine, Ninja Theory, and Compulsion Games are reportedly seeking to buy back their independence from Xbox in an effort to avoid potential closure.
