Publisher Raw Fury has revealed Kingdom III: Rising Realms, the latest entry in its acclaimed strategy series, for Nintendo Switch 2. The game is being developed specifically for Nintendo's console, although the developers have not yet announced a release date or window.
The game takes place in a shattered world where cities have fallen into ruins, the land has become barren, and its people have been scattered across numerous islands. Players will take on the role of the Monarch, wielder of the Crown of Creation, and use its legendary powers to rebuild a kingdom that has been destroyed.
Kingdom III: Rising Realms will feature procedurally generated islands filled with ancient monuments, mythical creatures, and powerful artifacts. Players will recruit subjects and Elite units to help restore their realms while exploring previously unknown parts of the world.
A new danger awaits in the form of the Greed King, who leads the sinister Greed and spreads corruption across the land. Players will have to strengthen their strategic skills and defend their kingdom from this powerful enemy, which seeks to destroy their realm and steal the crown.
The game will also expand the strategic possibilities of the series. Players can choose their equipment before setting sail, decide which islands to explore, and assemble a retinue of upgradeable Elites. These specialist units provide new abilities that can help overcome the challenges found throughout the shattered world.
