Horror game insider Dusk Golem has shared another detail about the Resident Evil Code Veronica remake. According to the leaker, Capcom is already developing a standalone story expansion that could be comparable in scope to Separate Ways for Resident Evil 4 Remake and Shadows of Rose for Resident Evil Village.
The DLC could offer around five to six hours of additional content. Since the original Code Veronica never received any expansions, its potential storyline remains unknown.
Some fans speculate that the add-on could focus on Chris Redfield’s search for answers, while others believe it might feature another chapter centered on Albert Wesker.
Dusk Golem previously claimed that Capcom had moved the remake’s internal deadline from spring to fall 2027 to expand the project and make it more ambitious.

The reported expansion would fit Capcom’s broader strategy of releasing story DLC for existing Resident Evil games between major installments. Recent reports have also revealed which character could take center stage in the upcoming Resident Evil Requiem expansion.
According to the insider, Resident Evil Code Veronica is expected to launch on PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series consoles.
