Insider Dusk Golem has shared new details about the future of Resident Evil Requiem, claiming that Capcom plans to release the game's story DLC only after the Resident Evil Veronica remake, which is currently the studio's top priority.
According to the insider, the development team is "all hands on deck" to complete Veronica, with the remake currently targeting a launch in the first quarter of 2027. If necessary, the release could slip into the second quarter.

Dusk Golem also claims that Capcom intends to invest more heavily in larger story expansions for future Resident Evil games. These DLCs are expected to serve as smaller, more experimental side stories that keep players engaged between major releases.
The insider says the Resident Evil Requiem story DLC will be ambitious and will incorporate player feedback from the base game. He also believes these expansions will allow Capcom to be more responsive to fan desires while testing new ideas without disrupting the development of its larger projects.
Capcom has not officially confirmed any of these claims, so they should be treated as rumors for now.
