Less than a week after its announcement, Resident Evil Veronica, the remake of Code: Veronica, has already surpassed one million wishlist additions. The milestone highlights the enormous anticipation surrounding Capcom’s upcoming survival horror title.
The story takes players to Paris, where Claire Redfield infiltrates an Umbrella Corporation facility. She is soon captured and sent to a military base located on the remote Rockfort Island in the middle of the ocean. The original Code: Veronica launched in 2000 and was praised by both critics and players.
Capcom says more details, including the game's release date, will be revealed at a later time. Resident Evil Veronica will become the fourth major Resident Evil remake, following the releases of RE2, RE3, and RE4.
The game is scheduled to launch in 2027 on PC and current-generation consoles.
