Asobo Studios has officially announced that Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy has gone gold, confirming that development is complete. The game remains on track to launch on August 27 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series, with no delays expected.
The studio shared the news on social media with the following statement:
"Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy has just gone GOLD, which means it's release ready! In a few weeks, you'll finally set foot on the Island and begin a memorable journey alongside Sophia. We can't wait!"
Set 15 years before A Plague Tale: Requiem, the game follows a young Sophia, expanding on the character's past and her relationship with her father.
Asobo Studios has previously confirmed that Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy will feature a stronger focus on action than the previous entries. Players will also switch between two different eras: the medieval period, where they control Sophia, and the time of the Minoan civilization, where they will seemingly relive the memories of another character with possible ties to the Macula.
In addition, Minotaur Island will act as a semi open environment filled with hidden secrets and ancient labyrinths waiting to be explored.
